• The first Gottlieb game to use a Dot Matrix Display (DMD).

• The Video Mode is a simplified version of Super Mario Bros. Mario moves automatically across the screen using the right flipper button to jump and the left flipper button to run, avoiding Bullet Bills and bottomless pits along the way.

• Features the first time that “The Official Voice of Mario”, Charles Martinet, did the voice for Mario; prior even to any video games or other appearances.
